Located in Ormond Beach, Florida, A.W. Baylor Versapanel-Plastering, Inc. has been delivering exceptional results for its clients since 1955. We initially focused on interior and exterior metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, batt insulation, stucco, plaster and EIFS systems. In 1987 we began manufacturing Versapanel Exterior Wall Systems. A.W. Baylor Versapanel-Plastering, Inc. has continuously been introducing new and alternative methods for use in the construction industry. Today, ongoing research, improved methods and technologies are under constant development at our manufacturing facilities in Ormond Beach, FL.

We work throughout the Southeastern United States on projects ranging from one-story to more than thirty-story buildings, bringing about tremendous value and beautiful end results for our clients. Our in-house staff of estimators and project management personnel combined, has over 150 years of construction experience.

Our Staff

James E. Crews

A 36-year company veteran and Vice President, James E. Crews, III oversees all aspects of company daily operations, including supervising and scheduling all administrative and field superintendents. He also manages the bidding process and budgets, along with calculating job costs, and fulfilling contractual and legal obligations. Mr. Crews oversees all financial transactions, payables and receivables along with generating all project AIA billings. He is also the acting safety manager and is a licensed Florida General Contractor and has the following certifications: OSHA safety, JEA safety, Forklifts, Aerial Access Lifts, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Allan Trueblood

A.​W. Baylor's Chief Estimator, Allan Trueblood supervises company estimators, selects the projects that the company bids on, and prepares the bids and cost estimates.  He is also in charge of scheduling ​and procurement of suppliers and subcontractors.  Mr. Trueblood visits job sites, meets with contractors, and oversees all projects from start to finish.  He has 64 years of experience in the construction industry and has been with A.W. Baylor for 38 years.

Jeff Jones

As one of A.W. Baylor's Project Manager/Estimators, Jeff Jones oversees projects from start to finish.  This  includes preparing bids and cost estimates, scheduling, procurement of suppliers and subcontractors, visiting job sites, and meeting with contractors.  He is a plaster by trade and has been in the drywall plastering business for 36 years.  Mr. Jones has been with the company for 21 years and has the following certifications: OSHA Safety Training, Omega, Deco-Stone Coatings, Scaffolding, Mast Climbers, Scissor and Boom Lifts.

Kevin Bailey

Kevin Bailey has been a Project Manager/Estimator with A.W. Baylor for 13 years. His duties include preparing bids and cost estimates, scheduling, procurement of suppliers and subcontractors, visiting job sites, meeting with contractors, and overseeing projects from start to finish. He is a metal framer by trade and has 30 years of experience in the construction field.

Robbie Sanders

Superintendent Robbie Sanders coordinates and oversees construction operations on a daily basis and controls short term scheduling, including maintaining high standards in safety and quality control with A.W. Baylor. He also coordinates subcontractors on the job.  Starting with the company in 1990 as a Plastering Apprentice/Laborer, he moved up to Superintendent in 2000. He is a carpenter by trade and has 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He has a Certified Building Contractor License and the following certifications: OSHA Safety, JEA Safety, EIFS, Manlifts, Aerial Access Lifts, Supported Scaffold, Suspended Platform I, Forklifts, Powder Actuated Tools, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Jimmy Ippolito

Superintendent Jimmy Ippolito coordinates and oversees construction operations on a daily basis and controls short term scheduling, including maintaining high standards in safety and quality control with A.W. Baylor. Starting with the company in 1984 as a Framer/Hanger, he became Assistant Superintendent in 1997 and Superintendent in 2000. He has 40 years of experience in the construction industry, and has the following certifications: Powder Actuated Tools, Forklifts, Aerial Access Lifts, Supported Scaffold, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Robert Peterson

Superintendent Robert Peterson coordinates and oversees construction operations on a daily basis and controls short term scheduling, including maintaining high standards in safety and quality control with A.W. Baylor. He has worked with the company since 1995 in various roles and in 2004 became a full-time Superintendent. He has been in the construction industry for 44 years and holds the following certifications: Manlifts, Aerial Access Lifts, Supported Scaffold, Forklifts, Powder Actuated Tools, CPR/AED and First Aid and OSHA 30 Hour Training.

Donald Pellicer

Donald Pellicer is A.W. Baylor's Trade Laborer Superintendent. He oversees and coordinates all laborers on the jobsite, maintains high safety standards and quality control.  He is responsible for all deliveries of materials and equipment to the jobsite. He started with the company in 1998 as a laborer and became Laborer Superintendent in 2002. He has 34 years of experience in the construction industry and has the following certifications: Forklifts, Aerial Access Lifts, Suspended Platform I, Supported Scaffold, CPR/AED and First Aid and OSHA 30 Hour Training.

Johnny Haggard

As A.W. Baylor's Plastering Superintendent, Johnny Haggard oversees and coordinates all plastering personnel on the job site and maintains high safety standards and quality control. He has been with the company for 30 years, starting as a plasterer in 1989, and becoming a Superintendent in 2000. He has 39 years of experience in the field and has the following certifications: EIFS, Forklifts, Aerial Access Lifts, Manlifts, Suspended Platform I, Supported Scaffold, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Brian Peterson

Brian Peterson is a Framing/Layout Superintendent at A.W. Baylor. He oversees and coordinates all framing and layout personnel on the job sites, and maintains high safety standards and quality control. He started as a Framer for A.W. Baylor in 2004, and became a Superintendent in 2007. He has 33 years of experience in the construction field and holds the following certifications: OSHA Safety, Aerial Access Lifts, Supported Scaffold and Firestop Systems.

Tommy Hunt

Tommy Hunt is a Framing and Layout Superintendent with A.W. Baylor and oversees and coordinates all framing and layout personnel on the jobsite. He maintains high safety standards and quality control. He has 47 years of experience in the construction field, starting as a laborer in 1971 and becoming a lather in 1974. He has been with the company for 28 years and has the following certifications: Aerial Access Lifts, Powder Actuated Tools.
